No wonder pride is one of the deadly sins (see Proverbs 6)

Pride prevents one from seeing their faults. Pride makes one above reproach. Pride drives one away from WISE counsel and instruction. Pride blinds one from seeing the needs of others. Pride is the antithesis of compassion. Pride is synonymous with selfishness. Pride prevents reconciliation. Pride breeds all other inequity.

“Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished.” Proverbs 16:5

Only selfless Christ-centered love is the answer...
