MENDING

Some people cause the breaking without batting an eye. Because to them, the world is small made only of them and their desires. But they will one day reap what they sow.

Some other people do the mending. The world is larger to them because they know something ties us all together. What causes hurt in others will one day return and cause hurt in me. They too will one day reap what they sow.

So, the latter intentionally mend with love, kindness, compassion, patience, and support with out limit in time or effort. They build where others demolish and they mend what others break.

Both type of these people create a ripple effect. Some create obstacles and challenges for years and generations to come.

Others plant a seed of hope and goodness in others that germinates season after season - whether that season be stormy or sunny.

One is a false strength, a show of power through destruction, chaos, and confusion.

The other is a quiet and gentle yet more pure strength of opening hearts with intention, empathy, and compassion.

There is potential to harm and potential to mend. Potential to flourish and potential to destroy. The path we choose starts with reflection and intention and comes to fruition with action. Action to love, to empower, to mend.

How do we mend a broken world? It starts with healing what is broken in each of us. Only God can mend our brokenness. Only then we can heal ourselves and others.

Hurt people, hurt people they say?

Broken people break others?

Well, healed people heal people too.

So, introspect, reflect, examine, sit with it, grow from it, and lean in to it without rushing the process or the learning. Nothing grows in rush.

Only then can we rise from it flourishing resiliently!

Only then can we mend others with love “intentionally, extravagantly, and unconditionally”.

Indeed the broken word awaits our growth, our healing, our resilience, and our love!

Heal yourself. Heal others. Heal the world.

It starts with you and continues to a ripple to the current world and to the world and generations to come!
