Lean In…Find Resilience

Sometimes life produces events you did not chose. Events you could have never imagined. Situations outside your control and did not expect. Sometime dreams crash down and ashes fall from burning aspirations. Sometimes you are tossed around in a wave not sure how you’ll survive or which way is up.

Life has soaring heights and crushing valleys. How can one navigate the defeats and challenges served especially when they are unchosen, unwanted, and are a vast unknown?

In the moments of such challenge, let the battle rage but let your spirit soar. Lean into the mountain and begin to climb it one step at a time until you’ve scaled all of it!

Remember brighter days of the past and hope and work for brighter days ahead. Grieve days of old and remember all they’ve taught you.

Grief is not the enemy. Grief is a unifying human experience and a teacher for us all.

Grief is the great humbler and empathy maker. Grief teaches us that time is finite and nothing is guaranteed tomorrow. So savor today!

No matter your story, there are times to fight and hold on and there are times to lean in.

Lean into the discomfort in order to grow. Running, hiding, avoiding, and numbing pain only prolongs, delays, or transfers the experience of pain. No one is immune from challenges. No one will be spared it’s lessons.

So lean in. Slow down, savor, and understand. When you’ve been hurt by people, experiences, or challenges, what have you learned about yourself, your strength, your courage, and your capacity to grow?

Joy can be every circumstance because growth is in every circumstance. Resilience comes by leaning into the storm and refusing to break despite its veracity and might. Resilience comes from gleaning meaning and purpose from experience that attempts to destroy you. Resilience comes from every experience you chose to stare defeat down with your courage.

There are certainly times to let go. But the times of leaning in are times of listening, savoring, growing, and producing much fruit for this season and the ones following it. Lean in. Empower. Lift. Inspire. Elevate and find unwavering joy and resilience!

“Resilience is not the absence of difficulty. Resilience is not denying or ignoring difficulty. Resilience is the ability to transform from difficulty. It is the ability to meet challenges head on and transcend difficulty and flourish beyond it.” ~CEA

Some people cause the breaking without batting an eye. Because to them, the world is small made only of them and their desires. But they will one day reap what they sow. Some other people do the mendi
